BB chord
Nobody thinks what I think,

Nobody dreams when they blink
                    EE chord
Think things on the brink of blasphemy

I'm my own shrink
Think things are after me, my catastrophe
AbmAbm chord
I'm a kitchen sink, you don't know what that means
          GbGb chord
Because a kitchen sink to you
Is not a kitchen sink to me, OK friend?
BB chord
Are you searching for purpose?

Then write something, yeah it might be worthless
EE chord
Then paint something then, it might be wordless

Pointless curses, nonsense Verses
AbmAbm chord
You'll see purpose start to surface

No one else is dealing with your demons
GbGb chord
Meaning maybe defeating them
Could be the beginning of your meaning, friend.

BB chord
Nobody thinks what you think, no one
                                       EE chord
Empathy might be on the brink of extinction

They will play a game and say

They know what you're going through

And I tried to come up with an artistic way to say
AbmAbm chord
They don't know you, and neither do I
So here's a prime example of a stand up guy
    GbGb chord
Who hates what he believes and loves it at the same time
Here's my brother and his head's screwed up

But that's alright.

BB chord
Time gains momentum the moment when I'm living in 'em
                                                 BB chord
I'm winning a momentary sinning a moment passing after

a re-beginning moments mending memories
                                                                  EE chord
Pretending enemies are friend of me, sending me straight to bending me
My bad behavior but I bet I could have been a better man
                                   AbmAbm chord
Copy and paste caught me, and copy, better rhymes bother me
                                                            GbGb chord
The better the rhythm the badder I am but I bet I'll battle with 'em battle
better I am, Gambling man, better bet I am a gambling man, I am?

  1. Beep beep bitches

    • helpingggg

we’re not “harping” on them (or whatever you’re trying to say). calm down. but…there’s a huge change in meaning from “i’m a kitchen sink” to “at my kitchen sink” and we’re just trying to preserve the actual message. plus, we’re also hardcore grammar nazis. ?

      • So every one I would like to point out he says in the song I’m a kitchen sink because of… he is always dripping (or writing songs and trying to make every one around him happy) but all this water goes to a waste down the drain he says you don’t know what I mean because he has probably dealt with family and friends troubles but at the same time trying to make new songs for his fans and etc. now I don’t like conflict especially on an awesome ukulele learning site but I just wanted to point out that

    • this hiatus is ruining us

  2. *cant think øf anything nøw*

  3. LovelyMs.Migraine

This may sound wierd but the stumming pattern i found to work best was DU DU DU DU

  4. DelaneyIsAlone

I agree with Beep beep bitches !
Whoever made this is AMAZING AND THEY DID A AMAZING JOB!

  5. abi._.tryner

I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be ‘IM’ a kitchen sink ??

  6. piercethebrooke

i love this song, i like to play it in +1 because its easy for me. i learned how to rap Zach’s part, and its super hard, especially the “but i bet ill battle with em battle better i am” part.

  7. +1 and pick it (4,2,3,1)
    it works for me

  8. you guys in an interview tyler himself talks about this very line and talks about what it means to him. the point is that he says “I’m a kitchen sink.” can’t question the songwriter now can you? anyways i love this song a lot whatever the line may be, and whoever made the tab did an amazing job.

    • he actually does say “at my” its just hard to understand. He does say that the song is about something that happened to him at the kitchen sink, so….

  9. TaxiCabHometown

AT MY KITCHEN SINK. In all of the lyric videos its I’m a kitchen sink but it’s at my and that’s aggravating me. It’s like the lyrics in Johnny boy on here. It’s he’s falling in love!!!!! Okay I’m done.

  10. Every lyric video and if you search up lyrics for it its “I’m a kitchen sink”. Everyone knows what “I’m at my kitchen sink” means but “I’m a kitchen sink” no one knows what that means except Tyler. It makes more sense than “at my kitchen sink “. OR It’s A MANDELLA EFFECT !!!

  11. A kitchen sink is something with purpose

  12. In a video where he talks about the song he says, “At my kitchen sink” and he explains it

  14. Confusedpatternsuknow

    Strumming pattern?

    • Ashleigh |-/

For the beginning, before he sings, the pattern is probably: D, D,DUD, D, DU. (The commas represent a longer pause.)

  15. Taylor Josephine

Loves this song! Can never get Zach’s rap tho! Btw -1 is easier |-/ ~{°-°}~

  16. The Grandpa Taken Away by the Pantaloon

I could just be the weird one here, but I think Dbm is completely off. The rest of the chords in the chorus sound amazing, but that one is bothering me. Does anyone else feel this way, or have a substitute.

  17. Twenty Two Captains

    For the first time.
    I did.
    Zach’s Rap.
    Without messing up.

    • MyPrettyWeeper

ALL HAIL TWENTY TWO CAPTAINS! I’m working on learning Zach’s part, but I haven’t quite got it down yet. Wish me luck, and stay alive, frens.

  18. ProbablyPanickingAtADiscoSomewhere

personally, -6 is easiest for me and my vocal range! it has super easy chords <3 have a great day!
